Community Coordinator Spotlight: Keanu Shah

Keanu Shah – HKRS Robbinsville, NJ

How many seasons have you been a Community Coordinator?

I have been a CC for 4 seasons, and I am excited to start my 5th!

Tell us about yourself! What inspired you to join HKRS?

I am currently a 4th year undergraduate student at Rutgers University studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science that is also starting medical school in July 2025. I have been with HKRS since 2018 as a volunteer because of my love for leading a healthier lifestyle and my desire to spread this passion to others. I transitioned to becoming a CC in 2023 because I wanted to have a greater impact in my community.

What is your biggest success as a Coordinator so far (or favorite race day moment)?

My biggest success was this past season when I had a personal best of 77 runners sign up and race each week!

What makes your community special?

Dedication is my community’s standout quality. This past season at Robbinsville, I have seen the dedication that each runner puts in over the 5-week racing series. I have seen countless runners improve their time by over 30 seconds and even win a trophy because of it!

What is some advice you would like to share with fellow Community Coordinators?

Open registration as early as possible and get your flyers into the local school system. It is a lifesaver.

Fun Fact:

One unrelated fun fact about me is that I once participated in a game show and won!
