Leader in orthopaedics to help combat increasing rates of childhood obesity through running
Thornton, PA (August 25, 2015) – Healthy Kids Running Series (“HKRS”) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Rothman Institute, the region’s leader in orthopaedics.
Rothman Institute’s mission is to provide their communities with high-quality, compassionate, and affordable musculoskeletal care that is grounded in evidence-based medicine, the results of which exceed expectations.
HKRS’s Director, Tamara Virtue, said she is excited to announce the new partnership knowing Rothman Institute’s history and their association with all the professional sports teams in Philadelphia.

The partnership includes 17 HKRS sites each consisting of multiple events in and around the Philadelphia and South Jersey area where a majority of Rothman Institute offices are located.
This fall marks the 12th season (fall/spring) of HKRS, since its inception in West Chester, PA. In September, Healthy Kids Running Series will be offered in 91 locations across twenty states and Puerto Rico, the largest season to date for HKRS. Races start the weekend of September 19-20, 2015.
